John Daly

Teaches Drums/Percussion & Music Theory
John Daly is one of the most experienced teachers in the midwest region with a career spanning more than 35 years. John has a background in all genres of music and has played and taught these styles of music since the late ‘70s. His philosophy is that "Music keeps evolving and we must evolve with it".
Having originally studied with Peter Di Benedetto, John later went on to study at Berklee College, Boston. John has been teaching at Ardscoil Mhuire since 2009 and has been the percussionist for all Ardscoil Mhuire musicals since 2007. He is currently the Chairperson of Limerick Jazz Society, Director of Limerick Jazz Festival.
John regularly organises music workshops as well as being a tutor in Music Generation Limerick. John has enjoyed seeing many of his students go on to become top level players and teachers in their own right.
